This item is missing the manual, so I do not have any specifications or other specifics to give you other than what I can see physically. It does not have any manufacturer marks on it, but its construction is very similar to a ground water depression pump I also have for sale, which is manufactured by Oil Recovery Systems, Inc., Greenville, New Hampshire. I believe that is who made it.

After studying this item I have decided that it is most likely a High Volume Probe Scavenger. If correct then my understanding is that it works with or without a ground water depression pump* (which would increase efficiency of the system).

I found that the ORS Probe Scavenger system is now being supplied by GeoTech (who makes a few variations). Their High Volume Probe Scavenger is very similar to this unit.

This unit is clearly marked 230V (single phase), which agrees with the specs of the GeoTech system. If we accept the GeoTech specs as the same as this system, then the pump is 1/3 HP, 12 GPM, and has a maximum head of 81 feet. This unit is not marked, so I do not know the actual values.

This system consists of the following components and parts:

An intake strainer mounted above the pump with a hose leading down to connect to the bottom of the pump (the intake).

Attached to the top of the pump (the discharge), is a gasoline resistant hose and power cable (the cable is inside the hose).

At the top of the hose is a fitting that separates the power cable from the hose, where the cable leads to an explosion-proof starter box and finally the end of the cable with plug.

Also attached to the fitting described above is a quick connect where the discharge hose extension(s) is attached. I believe the fittings and hose extensions are 3/4 in.

Included are four gasoline resistant extension hoses, all with quick connect fittings, one with a valve and ground wire with clip, and another with a lifting loop attached. The lifting loop would work with a hand winch (not included).

The power cord from the pump plugs into the control panel, which is where you would plug in the various probes if you have them (they are missing).

I am fairly certain that this system is an original version of the current GeoTech system and I would think that the GeoTech probes would work with it. I of course can not guarantee that, but I would contact them about probes.

Oil Recovery Systems was in business from the mid-1970s into the 1980s. They manufactured oil / water separation equipment. It spun off a division called Groundwater Technology in 1989, which is a firm that specializes in in-situ site remediation. It is now based in the Netherlands.
